My submission to the "Beauty in Everyday Objects" Macro Contest
Ireland's national side of the 1 cent euro coin, on top of a cracked (as in shattered) iPod touch logged into what else but dA.
This is a very small coin measuring only 16.25mm (less than 0.64 inch) across.
I used my Canon 550d with kit lens plus attached 1+2+4+10+ close up filters. Only light sources were diffused window lighting and iPod. Used Canon EOS utility for tethered capture. Stacked focus from 39 exposures to achieve maximum depth of field.
